About

Welcome to the home page of the District of Columbia Commandery of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States. The Order is one of the oldest veterans/hereditary organizations in existence in the country. Please read about our history and our role today. We would appreciate hearing from you and about your officer ancestors who helped save the Union in 1861 – 1865.

This Commadery serves the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA and  includes Companions from the States of Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and the District of Columbia and its metropolitan suburbs.  Our membership includes Companions from 17 of the 56 United States and Territories.

We meet regularly throughout the year to mark dates of significance and partner with other Hereditary Societies  who share our aims and goals of perpetuating patriotism, Americanism, and love of country.

See our pages on Membership, Scholarships, ROTC Awards, Rosters and biographies of prominent Companions of the DC Commander of MOLLUS, and our Principals.
